After carelessly abandoning this blog for a little too long for comfort I finally decided not to abandon this little sapling before it's had any chance to grow. Since excessive schoolwork has built a nice little wall of writer's block in my mind, I've decided to let this post be a simple rant rather than anything concrete. This is just a basic, stream of consciousness style expression of views.

WHAT IS ART?/ OR  Why Red Bull At 3 AM Is A Terrible Idea

The concept of art is something society, as well as the human consciousness, has continued to grapple with over the course of the age of man. Some cultures, perplexed by its abstract nature and disturbed by its ability to appeal to the most raw, primal part of the human consciousness, a part that still, even with aeons of struggle, continues to escape the control of the rational self, seek to block out any forms of art or to tame it to encompass only the particular areas of society which man had absolute control over. The middle ages, with its rigid laws that compelled all art forms to be nothing but a platform to praise religion, is an example of this concept of oppression of art that has fostered its way into the social consciousness every now and then, and exists even today in the capitalist era where the creation of art is permitted but not encouraged. However, This abstract notion of self expression, that modern man, in order to contain and cage its essence labels art, is nothing but a raw animalistic portrayal of reality and the human consciousness. All in all art and life are more closely knit than society wishes to acknowledge. Art is not a barbaric, primitive notion nor is it an unnecessary, indulgent practice. It is a mere tool for portraying reality and arousing the social consciousness. Art, in all its magnificence, is revered in almost every culture across the globe. It is the one aspect of society that has survived through the eras. Through war, through genocide, all else is perished yet art still remains, a reminder of what happened and what is to come, a reminder of the circle of life.

THE ZODIAC/ OR Why Caffeine And Stargazing Don't Mix

The Zodiac rules us. Unlike the opinion of the horoscope section of of the newspaper, our selves are not defined by the zodiac. That would indicate that the zodiac too depends on us. The zodiac is greater than that, it does not define our individuality but rather surpasses it, belittles it. We are all slaves of the zodiac. No matter who we are or what we do we live by the laws of space and time and our lives are always governed by the Pagan interpretation of the stars. the zodiac does not need us, rather, it is us who need the zodiac.
 12 hours of the clock
12 signs of the zodiac
our lives turn the full circle.
